The most curious combinations that were awarded
Are you one of those who always play the same numbers? Are you one of those who bet at random? Do you choose the same combination or do you change when it comes to validating your bets? Whatever the case may be, we are sure that on more than one occasion you have thought that there are some series of numbers that are less likely to win, but... Here we tell you some curiosities.
Any combination of numbers has the same chance of winning as any other, but sometimes we think that a certain set of numbers is more difficult to win. In this article we have decided to take a look at those "strange" combinations that were once winners.
In October 1988 there were 114 first category winners in a La Primitiva draw. The winning combination was 5-15-25-26-36-46 and the complementary was 44.
In February 2015 the winning combination in a Bonoloto draw was: 1-41-43-45-47-49.
On 8 January 2010, in the Euromillions draw, there were no winners in the first category. The winning combination was: 4-5-14-44-26 and the stars were 8 and 9. The peculiarity of this series is that just two draws before also came out of the draw those first three numbers and the stars were the same.
In October 2010 there were also 47 first category winners in the Primitiva draw. All of them had bet on the following combination: 7-8-10-20-30-40.
Outside Spain there have also been some "curious" results
For example, in New Zealand, a National Lottery prize was shared among 2,100 winners. All of them had bet on the winning combination 1-2-3-4-5-6.
In Bulgaria something unusual happened. In two consecutive draws the same combination won: 4-15-23-24-35-35-42. Even the authorities intervened when rumours of manipulation spread.
Also in South Africa, a sequence of numbers was investigated in a National Lottery draw in which there were 20 winners. 5-6-7-8-9 and the complementary: 10.
